IPhone 16 sales are not as strong as last year!

Sales of the iPhone 16 series showed a strong performance during the first weekend, but came in below expectations, according to a report sent by Morgan Stanley to investors.

It shipped 37 million units of iPhone 16 models, mostly the iPhone 16 Pro Max, while the iPhone 16 and iPhone 16 Plus models recorded significant growth compared to previous years. However, these figures reflect lower demand compared to previous versions of the iPhone.

Morgan Stanley explained that the waiting time for the iPhone 16 Pro Max model is up to 25.5 days, which is significantly less than the previous waiting period of 43.5 days for the iPhone 15 Pro Max model last year.

The iPhone 16 models are the fastest spreading since the launch of the iPhone 12 in 2020, which may prompt Apple to reduce its production orders to compensate for the lower demand, but the report indicates that this forecast is still temporary based on market developments.

The relatively low demand for the iPhone 16 may be due to Apple more accurately estimating the current demand or perhaps to a decrease in consumer enthusiasm towards buying compared to last year.

In addition, some of the major features of the iPhone 16 have not yet been released with the launch, such as artificial intelligence features that are still in beta stage, camera control improvements and Siri upgrade to Version 2.0. It is expected that these improvements will contribute to increasing users ' interest in the update in the future.

It is noteworthy that the iPhone 16 has been less than a month since its official launch and sales have been going on for only one week, which makes it premature to assess its success or failure. However, indications are that the fall of 2024 could be a crucial year in the future of iPhones.
